In order for humanity to live in peace, we must feel the need to live by the laws of nature, integral laws of interconnectedness and interdependence. Right now, humanity has no desire for such a life. The current reality is that humanity wishes to appear righteous while suppressing others.
When will humanity truly ask for change? When will it develop a sincere desire and request for living harmoniously and peacefully? It will do so only when it feels an undeniable necessity to live according to nature’s laws. But people are still far from wanting that.
What can bring about such a transformation? It requires developing within ourselves a holistic and integral perception of the world. We need to direct minds, hearts, and all of our strength to sense nature and wish to harmonize with it. We need to expand our narrow, limited world and open it to the vastness of the universe. Otherwise, nothing will change. Precisely because we remain content with our small worlds, indifferent to what happens around us, even as things worsen, we see no solution emerging.
If our thought remains, “I just want to feel good, and that’s why I live,” then this thought has already run its course. We see it clearly. The world can easily spiral into a wild confrontation, into a war fought in the name of peace.
The question then arises: “But isn’t everything in nature’s hands? Why doesn’t nature arrange our lives so we would already ask for it now?” Nature is doing exactly that. It creates the conditions, but we resist. We stubbornly refuse. We willingly do anything except surrender our egoism, i.e., our desire to enjoy for self-benefit at others’ expense, and truly ask.
How will the turning point come? It will happen gradually, born from complete hopelessness. Humanity will slowly realize that the path we are on leads nowhere. Nature’s pressure increases not to break us, but to awaken in us the recognition that the solution is in opposition to our very nature. And we must freely choose this change, not because we are forced, but because we understand and desire it. We must rise above ourselves. That is the path to peace.
