Kabbalah calls predetermined destiny “the path of suffering.” If we follow it blindly, then it carries us, and we experience whatever life throws at us. But if we rise above this predetermined fate, we can take control of our own fate.
Everything that happens to us still unfolds according to the laws of nature. But when we understand these laws, when we connect ourselves to them, we gain control. We direct our destiny by working with it, consciously, knowingly, and harmoniously.
