The people of Israel’s spiritual progress will always be according to various existential hardships, and we will always experience tensions. This is how we develop and there is thus no better or more pleasant way for us to advance.
How, then, can we facilitate the situation? We make the best out of this situation we find ourselves in when we openheartedly wish to positively connect with all Jews, and through them, with all the nations of the world.
I have complete confidence in a good future for Israel, but not in the way that people generally think about a good life. Our good future depends on our unity (“love your neighbor as yourself”) above our divisions (“love will cover all crimes”) through which we can spread the positive unifying force to humanity at large (to be “a light unto the nations”).
