Humanity is going through a very deep internal transition, even if outwardly it still looks the same. For generations, we were driven by clear motivations, such as to study, achieve, build careers, earn more, and succeed materialistically. These goals came from the natural growth of human egoism, i.e., the desire to enjoy for personal benefit alone at the expense of others.
Today, however, a fundamental change is happening. The same drives are still present, but they gradually lose their meaning. We begin to feel, even if subconsciously, that such efforts fail to fulfill us. We can reach the top of the ladders of wealth, status, and knowledge, and still feel empty. This feeling marks a significant stage in our evolution as a human species.
Humanity is beginning to outgrow external fulfillment and is being directed inward, to a different kind of satisfaction.
At first, people still try to compensate with sports, travel, competitions, and other achievements, but even these begin to lose their attraction as a deeper question starts to surface: “What is all this for?” That question gradually dissolves the value of everything that once seemed essential.
So what remains?
We begin to understand that the real field of life is not outside, but in our relationships with others and within ourselves. It is not in what we acquire, but in our attitude.
Humanity’s future trajectory is toward a state where we will primarily be concerned with living in a calm, peaceful, and balanced connection. We will not wish to harm others, and we will not wish to generate a negative atmosphere. Instead of competing, comparing, and aspiring for more, we will seek harmony in the vast network of human relationships.
Material life will not disappear, but it will become minimal and sufficient. We will work solely to the extent necessary to sustain ourselves and our family. Work will not feel like pressure or burden, but more like a natural participation in life.
Moreover, the entire definition of work will shift inward. Our work will become the development of a correct attitude toward others. When we begin to feel that others relate to us with the same calmness and benevolent intention, we will enter a completely different kind of existence. It is as if we live inside a field of mutual goodwill, a network of positive connection.
In that state, fulfillment comes not from what we receive, but from the quality of connection itself.
This is where a fundamental shift takes place. What once seemed like an enormous effort, to overcome the divisive human ego, becomes natural. It is not due to our own efforts either, but a higher force within nature, a force of balance and harmony, begins to act. When we stop resisting it, and we align ourselves with this process, everything becomes easier, calmer, and almost effortless.
This is why many systems we built, such as education, careers, and constant competition, will gradually fade from center stage in our lives. However, they have served their purpose, which is to bring humanity to the recognition that they are not our real goal that is worth investing ourselves into.
What humanity is moving toward is a state of inner equilibrium, mutual consideration, and quiet connection.
In that stillness, in that calm network of relationships, we begin to perceive the underlying force of nature itself, a force of love, bestowal, and complete connection.
At that stage, life becomes harmonious, peaceful, and simple. That is, we will have what we need, do what is necessary, and live the rest of our lives in a harmonious connection with others. It will not happen overnight, but the direction is already set.
