It is said “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls” because your enemy is there to push you to correct yourself, to rise above your egoistic self-aimed desires and draw closer to balance with the integral laws of nature.
Your enemy’s strength helps you, and the pressure of your enemy refines you.
The more forcefully your enemy acts, the better opportunity you have to rise. You should thus not celebrate your enemy’s downfall, but rather see your enemy’s role in your ascent.
