We are used to living with a certain level of uncertainty. We incorporate it into formulas, define probabilities for different scenarios, and prepare possible responses. However, when a great threat stands before us and we suddenly lose control and everything spirals, we start thinking about a higher power. We might think about it in terms of fate or luck, i.e., something not of this world, but nonetheless, we think of something unknown and beyond what we can currently grasp.
It is written in the Kabbalistic sources that Israel is above stars and constellations. Does this mean that we have the ability to determine our own luck and fate? The Kabbalistic sages say yes, definitely. Doing so requires a deep investigation of nature, discovering the general operating system embedded within it, understanding the laws by which it governs reality, and seeing how we can integrate into it.
Abraham discovered that a single force governs nature. Its quality is bestowal, pure love and giving. The discovery of the unity of the whole of creation leads to the aspiration to build unity, connection, mutuality, and completion among all people. This is how we can create alignment among each other and with the single force of nature, which will enter us into a balanced, healthy, and corrected state. This is the surest way to protect ourselves from all harm.
Israel comes from two words, “Yashar-El” (straight to God). It defines a direction that goes straight or directly to the single upper force called “God,” “the Creator,” or “Nature.” It is the force that develops life as a single integral system. Approaching it depends on developing qualities like its own, which is also called “equivalence of form,” which is why the sages directed us to connect to one another in love.
Above the emergence of various differences, disputes, rejection, and hatred, we cover everything with love in order to resemble that single higher force. Through acts of connection, we can tip the scales in our favor, and the world’s as well. The tipping depends on our own purification, i.e., on becoming more and more similar to the positive force of love and bestowal dwelling in nature.
Over the generations, we have experienced ups and downs in our relationships, and consequently in our alignment with the positive force of nature. This continued until the ego took over the nation and destroyed everything. The land spewed us out and we scattered in all directions. After 2,000 years, we were brought back here, and there has been no change in the formula for a secure existence, i.e., to positively connect and unite above everything that surfaces.
Today, the tendency to unite has become the demand of the time in every place. Not only is Israel experiencing internal breakages and external threats, but the human ego has reached such heights that more and more people simply cannot get along anymore. It is evident in across the board of human relationships, from international and ecological level to the level of family and couples. Moreover, it is very dangerous. It dismantles everything we have developed and threatens our continued existence.
Israel needs to research and develop the code for life in a connected world, a world where mutual dependence increases alongside an ego that soars ever higher. When we discover the method to live in peace with one another here in Israel, it will spread very quickly throughout the world.
That is actually the reason we were brought back to the Land of Israel after a long journey among the nations. We had to be included with all of them, as if to absorb them into ourselves, so that in due time we could provide a method for elevating everyone to a life of complete unity and love.
In the meantime, every threat against Israel carries within itself a wake-up call: “Hello! Wake up! You have a mission! Everyone is suffering because you’re busy fighting among yourselves instead of doing the work.”
