Dr. Michael Laitman To Change the World – Change Man

Is it possible to eat a lot without getting fat?

I do not understand why we need to eat excessive amounts of food to begin with. What do we need it for? Is it just to enjoy ourselves in those moments?

When we learn that the purpose of our lives is not just to revel in transient enjoyments but to become human beings in the fullest sense of the term, i.e., to rise to a level with relations of mutual concern, giving, support and encouragement in our connections, then our motion toward that goal would make us stop feeling the need to over-indulge in excessive eating.

Moreover, when we truly reach a state of genuine care for others, we then gain access to unbounded pleasure.

To start enjoying the unbounded fulfillment that comes from a positive giving-directed connection with others, we need to simply decide that we wish to delight others as if we love them. When we reach this decision in its truest sense, we then open the gates to unlimited pleasure.

How could we possibly unlock unlimited pleasure just by loving other people?

There is unlimited pleasure dwelling in nature. Activating it depends solely on the extent to which we project more and more love from ourselves to others.

If we project love to others, we lift the limits on our self-aimed pleasure, and we gain access to the field of unlimited pleasure that dwells in nature outside of us. Our inclination to delight others makes such a breakthrough because it aligns with nature’s most fundamental laws of love and bestowal.

The process is quite complicated and does not happen instantaneously. However, the more we exercise a loving and caring attitude toward each other, the more we get used to it and the more we undergo significant changes in that direction.
