A meal made lovingly by a mother or grandmother carries far more than taste. Within it are care, warmth, attention, and a sense of belonging. Then, what nourishes us is not the food itself, but the feeling behind it.
According to Kabbalah, however, these familiar experiences point to something much deeper. The love we receive through people is only an external form through which a higher force communicates with us. What we truly long for is not the food, the gift, or even the person themselves, but the fulfillment, care, and love that flow through them.
We need to gradually learn how to recognize this inner source.
The forms that once provided us with fulfillment—our mother, grandmother, family, and loved ones—exist within our memory and emotions because they were channels through which we experienced love. Yet the essence of that love does not disappear when those forms are gone. The source remains.
Kabbalah explains that everything we have ever desired already exists within reality. The challenge is not to create fulfillment but to learn how to perceive it correctly. Through inner development, we begin to draw closer to the source behind our lives.
This does not mean that a grandmother will once again appear carrying a plate of food and inviting her grandchild to eat. Those physical forms belong to a particular stage of life. Instead, we develop the ability to connect with the force that was positioned behind those forms from the very beginning.
Humanity is gradually being led toward a new stage of perception. First, people move away from dependence on purely material forms of fulfillment. Then they enter what might be called a more virtual reality, where connection becomes increasingly important. Eventually, this development leads to a spiritual perception of reality.
In that state, we experience everything that we have ever longed for: warmth, care, sympathy, understanding, protection, and love. The feelings that once came through parents, family, and close relationships become revealed in a more complete and universal form.
The fulfillment itself no longer depends on physical objects. Food, possessions, and external comforts are merely vessels. The real content is the feeling that fills them. When we reach spiritual perception, we connect directly with the source of fulfillment rather than with the external vessel through which it once appeared.
This resembles the experience of a small child resting securely in the care of a loving mother. The child feels complete, protected, and loved without needing to analyze the reason. Spiritual attainment reveals a similar sense of wholeness, but on a conscious level.
Gradually, we begin to understand that every expression of love we encountered throughout life originated from a single source. What appeared as mother, grandmother, family, friends, or loved ones was ultimately the Creator revealing Himself through different forms.
At first, it seems that people are the source of the love we receive. Later, we discover that they were messengers. Behind every gesture of care stood the same force that guides reality itself.
This realization transforms the way we view life. Instead of searching for fulfillment in countless external forms, we begin to perceive the source behind them. Every warmth, kindness, and feeling of being loved is recognized as coming from the same higher force.
Therefore, the revelation of the Creator is no abstract philosophical idea. It is the discovery of the source of all fulfillment, love, care, and connection. We come to feel that there is truly no one else besides Him, and that everything we have ever received has always come from that one source.
In this perception, nothing is lacking. The warmth that people spend their entire lives searching for is revealed as the very essence of reality itself.
