We can reach the meaning of life, reveal it, and truly feel it only when we reach a state where we understand that we cannot exist without it. The search for meaning must become something greater than life and death themselves.
However, we do not bring ourselves to such an extreme state by our own efforts. It is the soul that brings us there. The soul begins to demand freedom, an escape from the narrow limits of this life, and this inner demand pushes us forward.
These are indeed special souls that awaken in such a way, and we ourselves do not know when this awakening will take place within us. However, gradually more and more souls are approaching this state. Humanity is evolving toward it.
When this inner pressure grows to the point where we feel that we cannot continue living as before, this state becomes what we call “a cry” or “a prayer.” It is the inner appeal of the soul. However, even this is not something that belongs to us. Everything is a gift from above. Absolutely everything comes from the Creator, i.e., the source force of bestowal and love and created and sustains reality.
Even our efforts to search, to struggle, and to apply ourselves in order to discover the meaning of life are themselves a gift. Nothing appears on its own. It never happens randomly to just anyone. The awakening comes solely from the Creator and only to those whom He prepares for it.
When truth becomes revealed to a person, this is not the end of the path but the very beginning of the real work. After that revelation, new states arise again and again. We might feel once more that we cannot breathe, that we cannot exist without deeper understanding. However, each time the state is different and more advanced.
What is this truth that becomes revealed? It is the attainment of the Creator. Through the Creator, we begin to attain the entire universe. We start seeing and feeling the perfection of the Creator’s actions and governance.
This is the state humanity must ultimately reach. Everyone will attain it sooner or later. But not everyone passes through the same intense stages. There are special souls that go through these extreme states first. They pave the way. After them come the many others who follow in their footsteps and pass through similar states in a much easier and more collective way.
It could be thought of similarly to electrical light. There was once a time when people lit their homes with candles and there was no idea of electrical light that could illuminate our homes. However, certain scientists and inventors underwent a rigorous process of discovering and inventing such an ability, and today everybody in the world, with a minuscule amount of effort, can flick a switch in order to illuminate their homes much more powerfully with the electrical light. The scientists and inventors passed through the stages of the electrical light’s invention much more intensely, and those after them make use of what they had attained in a much simpler and easier-to-use manner.
