The countless conflicts tearing humanity apart today—from wars and terror attacks to verbal assaults, accusations, and the desire to harm one another—make it clear that unity cannot arise from our own powers alone. To rise above such division requires a higher force, a miracle. However, we must not wait passively for this miracle. We rather need to prepare ourselves for it.
If we open our hearts to each other, letting others enter our hearts, we create the conditions for something extraordinary to happen. In the warmth of such connection, we form a united front, and into this united space the positive force of nature, the upper force, can enter and dwell.
This is the miracle of Hanukkah. It is the liberation from our inborn egoistic nature, the inner shift from separation to unity, from hatred to love. When we begin to experience this transformation, we suddenly understand the reasons behind our conflicts. We see the gap between the material and the spiritual, between egoistic existence and the higher dimension governed by the laws of love, bestowal, and connection. These are the laws that sustain the entire universe, and when we align with them, our lives become harmonious and peaceful.
My hope for this Hanukkah is that humanity will grasp that unity is not a dream or a slogan, but it is the solution to every crisis we face. Through acts of connection, through mutual care and responsibility, we can reveal the single force of love and bestowal that is waiting to be discovered among us.
May more and more hearts join into one common heart, until all of humanity senses the presence of the positive force of nature dwelling within our unity. This is the true victory of Hanukkah, the eternal miracle shining within us when we rise above ego and enter the light of connection.
