What Can We Do to Make a Better Society to Our Next Generation?

We need to make a decision on how we wish to view the next generation. Accordingly, we should list its principles and behaviors, and put together a plan to raise the next generation to such a state. However, it is extremely important to define the right principles because we might be mistaken.

There is a unique aspect to the next generation: that in order for it to reach its true fulfillment, it will need to change its nature.

As we are in the midst of major changes in technology and in our relationships, and we have shifted to a state where the whole world influences us through the screens that we carry with us everywhere we go. We are far beyond the state where we were influenced primarily from our respective localities.

Also, if we perceive negative tendencies in today’s youth, we need to accept that it is the outcome of our negligence and disregard for their optimal upbringing. We have been living our lives in a way where we bring harm to the ecology and to society, and there is no one else to blame for a young generation that might seem worse than its predecessors.

We humans are the sole creatures in nature who have been given the freedom to shape the world however we choose. If we fail to care about our children, or about the kind of people they will grow up to be, then the result is inevitable.

Human nature is an egoistic desire, i.e., a desire to enjoy for self-benefit alone, which harms us the more we each try to serve our own desires at the expense of others and nature. If we fail to receive an education that guides us on how to navigate this nature we were given in order to positively connect to each other and learn how to live happy, harmonious, and peaceful lives, then it is obvious what will happen to us.

Therefore, making a better society for our next generation depends on learning the workings of our nature, nature in general, its laws, how and where nature evolves us, and how we can consciously participate in this evolutionary process, i.e., in a way that adapts us to nature’s laws. By doing so, we can rise above our declining evolutionary trajectory and open up a harmonious and peaceful life for all. Also, providing this education for our next generation depends on us first undergoing this education ourselves. It is my hope that we will wake up to the need for this learning sooner rather than later, and by doing so, spare ourselves and our next generation much suffering.
