One of my students asked me to describe, point by point, what the development of the coming year would be like.
Kabbalists indeed have a general understanding of the direction in which humanity is moving. They understand the overall process and what should unfold. But on the other hand, they cannot, because this understanding means almost nothing when it comes to how it will actually manifest in reality. We are now entering a completely new stage of development, an inner movement that has never existed before in human history.
There is, of course, an external description of the path, a general framework of what should happen. However, the form in which it will appear in our lives depends entirely on our free will. It depends on how we respond to the process, whether we move through it with more or less success, quickly or slowly, softly or painfully, consciously or unconsciously.
Therefore, I cannot say for sure what exactly will happen step by step. I know what needs to happen in terms of nature’s general law and plan. However, the realization can stretch and bend with countless caveats. It is like the “+C” in an integral. The integral itself has a clear solution, but the “+C”—the additional constant—can be anything, depending on how you solve it and at what level you solve it.
That “+C” is our free will. It is our decisions, our realizations, our inner participation. That is what determines how the year will unfold.
