Our world is built entirely on egoism, which is human nature. What is egoism? It is that we relate everything only to ourselves, and that we wish to enjoy ourselves at the expense of others and nature.
We constantly calculate whether whatever we encounter is good or bad for us. This calculation works constantly, consciously, subconsciously, and even unconsciously. It is our nature.
So what, then, is education? If we are built as egoists, then what does education mean? Education means guiding us to change, not by moral lectures, but by teaching us how to attract the positive force of love, giving, and connection that dwells in nature to ourselves. This positive force can correct the negative egoistic force within us.
The first step toward such a change is to recognize that the negative egoistic force is the only force driving us. Moreover, this is not just an intellectual realization, but a genuine feeling of this constant egoistic drive within us, and a hatred of it. That is the starting point. When we perceive our egoism separating us from others, distorting our perception, and bringing us harm, then we begin to want the opposite altruistic force.
The positive altruistic force exists. It is not in some distant space or galaxy. It surrounds us and fills the entirety of reality. However, we repel it because we do not want it. We are deliberately created in such a way that we must rise above ourselves, step out of our egoistic perception, and move toward this common, all-encompassing positive force of nature.
That is a summary of the entire educational process we need to undergo. First, we need to reach a revelation of the evil that resides within us, the egoistic nature that controls our every desire, thought, motion, and action, and then to desire its correction. Then, we should attract the altruistic positive force of nature, a force of love, giving, and connection, which proceeds to transform our egoistic nature to its altruistic opposite, similar to the very force of nature. By undergoing such a transformation, we come to perceive and sense a much broader view of reality, and see how we come together in a wondrous harmony, with genuine happiness, love, and peace filling our lives.
