We can cultivate inner peace and live a more fulfilling life by learning to accept the many twists and turns of fate as a kind of game, not a cruel one, but a deeply meaningful and playful interaction with the upper force.
Every event and sudden change in life, is like a move made by a great opponent on the chessboard. He plays His move, and now it is our turn. Then, we observe, think, and respond. In the process, we begin to sense that we are in a living dialogue with the very force that created and sustains us.
Then, our every response, thought, feeling, and decision becomes part of an adventurous journey of inner discovery. We begin to feel excitement, and even joy, because we realize that there is nothing chaotic in life, but a carefully organized game that is meant to bring us closer to understanding who is playing with us.
Even if we currently fail to consciously sense the upper force behind it all, this very desire to perceive it awakens this force to play with us, and such a desire directs us in an optimal fashion. It awakens a deeper awareness and turns our ordinary lives into a spiritual path.
Ultimately, this is what we wish to attain: to feel that every turn of fate, every card played, every step taken, is an invitation to come closer to the One who guides the game, the upper force.
