When You Are Asked a Question, What Does It Evoke in You?

When someone asks me a question, it evokes a very strong inner reaction in me. Sometimes I suddenly feel as if I begin to boil inside. At other times it pushes me toward a scientific explanation, a psychological one, or even a humorous response. The same question can awaken completely different forms of expression.

Even when the question appears ordinary or general on the outside, internally I experience a powerful storm. It feels as if waves toss me from one side to another. Questions and answers create enormous inner work within me, a kind of deep internal disturbance.

When a person asks a question, I receive a strong impulse from them. It is as if they inject a portion of their desire into me. This is necessary because the question creates a direct connection between me and the person, or even between me and the entire audience represented by that question. Through it I establish a wide and powerful contact with those who are asking.

This connection intense, like docking in space, when two separate modules connect to one another with precision. Once that connection takes place, I can begin working through that module, through that point of contact with the people who asked the question.

For me, this process brings great satisfaction. Not in the usual egoistic sense that lecturers can feel when they speak and receive attention, but from the opportunity to clarify something for those who are asking. A question reveals a certain emptiness, a lack. It defines the void within those souls that are connected to me at that moment.

My role is to fill that emptiness with understanding. When this happens, it gives me great pleasure because I know that even if people do not fully understand the answer at that moment, something important has already been placed within them. Even if they cannot yet realize it consciously, it is already recorded in their souls and will eventually awaken and develop within them.
