Fake equality is the attempt to make everyone the same. This was the basic principle behind systems like the Soviet Union, i.e., to erase distinctions, level everyone, and ensure that no one stands out from another. This has nothing to do with true equality. It is an external, mechanical leveling that suppresses a person’s inner essence and uniqueness.
True equality is something entirely different. It is that everyone must indeed be equal, but each in their own way. Equality does not mean sameness. Souls are absolutely different from one another, and this difference is not a flaw. It is rather the foundation of the system of creation.
If we take the 613 desires of the soul and imagine them arranged along a line, they form a full spectrum. Each desire has its own curve, its own intensity, its own form. No two are identical. Likewise, each person has a unique set of desires and qualities that no one else possesses.
True equality is achieved when every person fully realizes their own soul, to their maximum ability, and directs this realization toward bestowal—to the benefit of the entire system, of all others. In such a state, everyone is equal not because they are the same, but because everyone gives everything they have, fully and completely, from their unique nature.
Therefore, no one is similar to another either in the quantity or the quality of their bestowal. Yet all are equal because each acts from their own unique self to the fullest possible extent.
Therefore, fake equality tries to blur differences so that no one can be distinguished. On the contrary, by realizing our souls as fully as possible, we will differ from one another as much as possible.
