There are many verses about Shabbat, and in general the matter of Shabbat is something very great, because it corresponds to the end of correction—the seventh millennium, which we all hope to reach.
This is a matter of spiritual degrees: the six thousand years correspond to the six Sefirot of Zeir Anpin, which we need to receive as their qualities within Malchut.
Malchut, when it becomes sanctified, is included in and absorbs the influence of these qualities of Zeir Anpin—Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzah, Hod, and Yesod. When she (Malchut) is included in them, she becomes ready to receive the abundance, and then she begins to be with Zeir Anpin in a Zivug de Haka’a (coupling while striking), in unity and connection. This is called “the unification of the Holy One, blessed be He,” which is Zeir Anpin, “and the Shechina,” which is Malchut.
“Shechina” means that within her, the light—the Creator—already dwells, and Malchut is the assembly of Israel, i.e., the gathering of all the souls that are below in the worlds of BYA (Beria, Yetzira, Assiya).
Certainly, as long as Malchut is not included in all the Sefirot of Zeir Anpin, in all of Zeir Anpin’s qualities, she (Malchut) remains unfit to be connected with Zeir Anpin even a little, because there is no partial in spirituality. She must be in all the qualities that are revealed before her, in correspondence with them, i.e., with Zeir Anpin. In other words, Malchut needs to receive the qualities of Zeir Anpin, adopting them upon her own will to receive, so that her will to receive will take on the outer form like Zeir Anpin opposite her. This is called “a help against him.”
Malchut is then indeed the receiver, but she receives in accordance with Zeir Anpin, in order to be like Zeir Anpin. By this Malchut rises, dresses herself in Zeir Anpin, and reaches “She–bat”: although she is a daughter (Hebrew: “Bat”), she reaches the Shin (ש), i.e., the three upper lines, which are HGT (Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet), the fathers.
Therefore, throughout our corrections, we do not feel their benefit until we reach the end of the corrections. Then there is a revelation of all the corrections we performed upon ourselves during the six days or six thousand years, and then there is the revelation of the day of Shabbat, i.e., the seventh millennium.
This level is not a day and not a millennium, but rather the degree that becomes revealed only after we are included in all the upper Sefirot, i.e., the upper qualities and corrections.
These corrections are such that through the revelation of Zeir Anpin toward Malchut we can accelerate time. In our past evolution on the degrees of still, vegetative, and animate, we could not accelerate time, as we did not even know what state we were in or what process we were undergoing.
Today, however, when we have free choice, when we have entered the corrections, then it is as written: Israel hasten the times, or Israel sanctify the times. We can accelerating time and not wait until the completion of six thousand years. Instead, everything depends on us, and through our effort we can be included in the qualities of Zeir Anpin even in less than six thousand years, and reach the degree of the seventh millennium, because this is a matter of degrees.
Afterward, as Kabbalist Baruch Ashlag (RABASH) writes in “Introduction to a Sage’s Fruit,” he heard from Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag (Baal HaSulam) an explanation of the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth millennia, as these too are degrees still ahead of us, because altogether “Shabbat” is HGT NHYM (Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzah, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut).
There are also three more degrees, which are called “the Rosh (head) of the degree”, which comes after the seventh millennium, which we become included in, above our present attainment, because it is received in the vessel after the corrections in it, after equivalence of form.
Therefore, nothing is written about this anywhere in the books of Kabbalah except for subtle hints, and we hope to reach this as well speedily in our days.
Therefore, what we must do now is not to pay attention to the states along the way, because until one reaches the state of Shabbat, one does not know that one has reached it and completed all the corrections from HGT NHY.
We should thus make every effort, according to the principle, “Whatever is in your power to do, do it,” so that we will reach the seventh degree, “She-bat.”
