Indeed, every person as absolutely unique, with a role in creation that no one else can fulfill. This is how we must see ourselves and others.
When we understand this, we realize that we have no right to take another person’s life, and no right to force or break them.
Our relationship with others, when we understand that every person is irreplaceable, needs to be built on that in which at every moment, we are placed in exceptional circumstances, and we need to respond according to laws of balanced interaction, in harmony with the surrounding world.
Even in war, and especially in war, such understanding becomes sharper. The tragedy of countless casualties awakens within us the realization of how precious and unrepeatable each life is.
Does every person in such extreme conditions come to this realization? No, not everyone. But if we think about our genuine realization in the world, then we reach the conclusion that every human life is singular, inimitable, and invaluable.
